Residents Club Winter League

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Golf Leisure Breaks residents Golf league which we hope will provide some golfing fun along with healthy competition. In addition to hopefully providing the opportunity to make new golfing friends, we are planning on doing our best to provide good value golf during the coming months. As I mentioned in a recent article, we are approaching a relatively quiet period when green fees will be reduced in order to attract more golfers. To take advantage of these special green fees, Golf Leisure Breaks will be organising a winter league, along the following lines: Teams of 4, from bars/restaurants, companies, societies or just 4 individuals. Games to be played each Sunday from 26th. November – 25th. February (12 rounds with a Christmas break). All rounds will be played at courses offering competitve mid-season rates, the maximum green fee to be 60€, which in some cases will include a shared buggy. The format will be aggregate team stableford scores each day, two members of each team playing with two from another team. There will be prizes each week and special team prizes for the winning teams after the final round, based on the best 10 rounds. The prize for the winning team will be 3 nights in a 4* hotel on the Portuguese Algarve with a couple of rounds of golf thrown in. Entry fee is 20€ per team member, which will include a gala presentation dinner with live entertainment at “Crumps” on Saturday 3rd March.
