Great start for Jimenez

Our own local hero, Miguel Angel Jimenez, who hales from Churriana, got off to a great start for 2007 being pipped at the post by Paul Casey in the recent Abu Dhabi Tournament. Miguel Angel was in a great position to win when Casey bogeyed the 72nd. hole, but unfortunately 3-putted the 71st. to fall one behind and failed to secure a birdie on the par 5 final hole. However, this result puts Jimenez in a great position to repeat his success of a couple of years ago, when he finished high on the Order of Merit table with several European Tour victories. It will be a pleasure to follow the progress of this likeable Málagueño who can be a genuine contender in the majors this year.
