FINCA CORTESIN

Something Special

When Golf Leisure Breaks took twenty clients to play Finca Cortesin recently, it was with the expectation of enjoying a unique experience and no-one was disappointed. There are few golf clubs which exude a special aura and Finca Cortesin is definitely one of them.

Now recognized as one of the top five courses in Spain, the course is a feather in the cap of our own Cabell Robinson, who designed this great layout, following his successes with the three courses at La Cala Resort and the impressive Santana course.

Our group was welcomed with a cup of coffee in the clubhouse and granted courtesy use of the driving range, with balls set up in classic pyramid formation. Once on the course, marshalls delivered water at regular intervals, as well as a welcome bag of various fruit.

More good news came when we were advised that buggies were permitted on the golf course. The course itself was set up perfectly for our event, with wide fairways, generous pin positions on large undulating greens; completely different to the conditions which the world’s best golfers can expect next autumn, when they compete in the first Volvo World Matchplay Championship and find narrow fairways, deep rough and sly pin positions – and all this over a course stretched to 6,800 metres from the black tees.

Golf at Finca Cortesin can only be reserved through authorized tour operators, so if you would like to play this magnificent course, you can book through Golf Leisure Breaks by calling Julie or Leila on 952 582 943.
