CONGRATULATIONS ON A RARE FEAT

On Monday 13th., Paul Parry, an 11 handicapper who competes regularly in the Golf Leisure Breaks competitions, played the best golf of his life, taking 73 strokes gross round the Sta. Maria course. What makes this such a special achievement is that Paul is 75 years of age, which makes him a member of a very exclusive club, limited to those who have completed eighteen holes in less strokes than their age. Paul won the competition by a street with 44 stableford points, winning our coveted trophy and receiving a standing ovation from everyone present. He was also invited to dinner at the popular Orange Tree restaurant in Marbella by the owner Frank Ammar, who was also competing. As no good deed goes un-punished, Paul was immediately cut 2 shots off his handicap!
