BORNE ON THE WIND

Our recent golf competition at Calanova was almost cancelled because of the recent exceptionally strong winds experienced the length of the Costa del Sol.  However, ten stalwarts decided to brave the elements, including young Ellan Nash, a slip of a girl, playing off a 12 handicap.She mastered the conditions and a demanding golf course, returning a remarkable score of 36 points, several shots ahead of her male rivals.  Ellan next played in our Sta. Clara competition, returning a score of 37 points off her new handicap of 10 in conditions only slightly better than on her previous outing.  A remarkable achievement for a young lady with ambitions to play at a higher level and who will certainly go far.  Remember the name.
