‘NEW’ MAN IN CHARGE AT CALANOVA

Congratulations to Manolo Fernandez, who far from being new, has been on the Costa del Golf scene for more than twenty years. Manolo is a golf man through and through, with a vast knowledge of golfers and their needs, including those who visit these shores and the increasing number of resident golfers. He also happens to be a very accomplished golfer, playing off a 5 handicap. Having contributed in getting the new nine-holer in Benalmadena off the ground for Aymerich Golf Management, Manolo takes control of a Calanova course which has become one of the most popular on the coast after a slow start since its inauguration in 2005.

The course itself is now recognised by discerning golfers as a brilliantly designed lay-out, taking full advantage of the vast amount of land available. The inevitable result of this policy is that the distances from green to tee are much longer than usual, so that the course is presented as a buggy course, with buggies included in the green fee, which is more reasonable than many at 75 euros.
