THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE KING!

After twenty-one years, eighteen of them hosted by Valderrama, the Volvo Masters is no more.  Next year (which starts next week) sees the birth of “The Race to Dubai”, which will be the new venue of the 2009 season finale.  The winner of the final event will pocket 1.5 million euros, while the final leader of the race, which will still be thought of as the Vardon Trophy, or the Order of Merit, will take home the princely sum of 2 million euros. What recession?
