FOUND – SOME GOOD NEWS

It’s good to report some good news during hard times. More clubs are now reacting to the current economic situation by reducing their green fees drastically until the end of February and in many cases during the summer months, which in some cases extend from May to September. Buggy inclusive offers range from as little as 38€ during these periods.
One club which stands out is Lauro Golf, which not only offers excellent value, but has gone to great lengths to improve facilities for its clients, both on and off the course.

Lauro Golf has implemented a series of improvements over the last year and is well worth a visit to play their three loops of nine holes in the Alhaurin countryside. Always being known as a friendly, ‘members’ style club, the restaurant has undergone a revamp and caters for the tastes of the many different nationalities that play there. A new driving range has also been inaugurated measuring 280m in length with Bermuda grass bays. If you feel daring ask a member of  the staff to take you on a ‘Segways’ driving test! These are the latest two wheeled buggies which, unlike their four-wheeled counterparts, allow you to ride on the fairways and have fun in the process. The courses Golf Leisure Breaks visit on a weekly basis are Santa Maria, Parador and Calanova. All three have made significant improvements to their courses in recent months, especially the Parador course, which will be hosting the Open de Andalucia from March 25th.
