Welcome Back

Golf Leisure Breaks has seen several peaks and troughs since it began trading fifteen years ago as the first golf tour operator based here on the coast. Having survived the worst of the global recession which started in 2008, it’s a pleasure to report that many of our regular clients have decided to return to the Costa del Golf this winter, especially during the latter part of the year. Better still, many new clients have decided to take their winter golf break here.
What is apparent is that new and old clients have become very price conscious and are selecting the courses which offer better value for money. The watermark for most is greenfees under 70 euros (preferably including shared buggy) during the periods March, April, October and November, which traditionally constitute our high season. There are more than enough good courses meeting this requirement to ensure a memorable week of golf, but it is worth noting that more holiday golfers are choosing low-season months such as December,January & February, or the summer months when warm sunny weather is assured and greenfees are at their lowest. Bizarrely, the weather has caused more problems during the past two months than the current economic situation, which is ironic when one considers that our winter climate is a main attraction for those wishing to escape harsh northern european weather.
As some hotels, restaurants and car-hire companies trim their prices, all that is needed for a full recovery is an early start to summer to give the courses a chance to recover from the effects of recent rains.
