Malaga Animal Protection Society Charity Golf day proves to be a great success
Posted May 19th, 2010 by adminAS featured in this column a couple of weeks ago, the first of the four Golf days making up the MAPS Charity Golf Circuit 2010 took place at The Marbella Golf and Country Club on Sunday 25th April. There was a great turnout and well over a thousand euros was finally raised on behalf of the charity.
The first prize of a bed and breakfast break for two including Spa treatments at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Villa Padierna Marbella went to Antonio Pimenetel Jiminez. Second prize of Aer Lingus flights went to Francisco Valencia Espejo and third prize of flights with Jet2.com went to Mike Munden. There were also several other prizes including ‘Nearest the pin’ donated by Lloyds TSB. Other sponsors prizes were auctioned after a scrumptious lunch at the prize giving ceremony to raise further monies.
The next event takes place at Santa Maria Golf on Saturday 26th of June. The course has very kindly offered to donate proceeds of the green fees to the charity. Therefore, for a fabulous ‘one-off’ price of 40€ per person including Green fee, shared buggy and lunch, you can be assured that your contribution will go direct to the animals that need it most.
